To Know More, To Want More

Failure is just information. - Toni Morisson

When I hit a wall, time was spent on why instead of just how to bypass it. I want to win and see the fruits of my labor. Then reality hits that something acquires my attention to make some changes. This time around, I don't feel the need to rip out the weeds and start completely over, thankfully.  Even with music, switching gears is encouraged to do outside of the comfort zone; just to be advised to conform to a frame of what's in the rotator of recycled ideas.

I was already advised to do sample tracks from someone who knows about their business, maybe even business in general, but not much of anything about music as they stated. Like how you can make one mix and create variations of that mix just to stick with the original. Humbling, but insightful! Or writing a verse for someone who asked for your input just to never see the fruition of that either. It was a first-time thing, so it was whatever. We get it. It's been got.

I also can celebrate the 100 views I accumulated on the site so far and folks reaching out about liking the music and getting inspired and connecting with DJs and understanding music theory when I manage to get around studying it. The ways in which I feel elated from the thought of doing something to get closer to how I want my music to sound like has my younger self smiling ear to ear. Nothing worth having is ever easy, but satisfaction of breaking new ground and forming a stronger foundation whether success or fail; that is guaranteed if I simply allow it.
